NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARY
The Jan. 8 New Hampshire primary was another turnout record in America - the second in this presidential race. About half a million
voters, including a majority of registered independents, came to the polls. To the chagrin of pollsters and everyone who pronounced
Barack Obama's win as certain, Hillary Clinton made a clean break for the front and claimed 39 percent of the Democratic votes. The Republican
contest was quick and predictable, with John McCain grabbing a quick, substantial victory in the state. Clinton again re-styled her image, this time to a
younger, more accessible post-teary-eyed moment Hillary, and winners and losers alike kept holding up the banner of change. CNN even gave Ron Paul a
near full five minutes of air time.
 HILLARY CLINTON | 39% | JOHN McCAIN | 37% |
 BARACK OBAMA | 37% | MITT ROMNEY | 31% |
 JOHN EDWARDS | 17% | MIKE HUCKABEE | 11% |
 BILL RICHARDSON | 5% | RUDY GUILIANI | 9% |
 DENNIS KUCINICH | 1% | RON PAUL | 8% |
 MIKE GRAVEL | 0% | FRED THOMPSON | 1% |
| | DUNCAN HUNTER | 1% |

There are so many of us online that love Ron Paul. Why isn't that translating at the polls? Seems awfully strange to me.
» Submitted By: Confused
I don't get it. How can CNN say who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Republican race since there is only 30% in???
Can anyone explain that for me?
» Submitted By: Steve Jabs
@Confused:
Because they know how many people are left in the other precincts and what the exit polls showed. I've been watching this all night, it's not going to budge too far past what is shown above. » Submitted By: Jerry Buerger
La la la la Ken is gayyyyy
» Submitted By: Confused
But would 3rd not still be up for grabs with 12% / 9% / 8% as 3rd, 4th, 5th and only 45 percent of precincts reporting???
» Submitted By: Falotico
Except in the Democratic race possibly, Jabs.
» Submitted By: The Truth
Gravel 0%? That's pretty sad, since he is the only one who tells the truth without reservation.
The Truth = 0% support in America. No big surprise, I guess. People voted for Hillary and Obama because the TV told them to. Typical. » Submitted By: Snarf
Ron Paul = best candidate
» Submitted By: steve jabs
@confused: Not really. Giuliani is nearly 3000 votes behind huckabee right now. And Ron Paul is about 1000 votes behind Giuliani. » Submitted By: Confused
Steve where are you getting the exact numbers in votes??
» Submitted By: Steve Jabs
I'm collecting them from the AP, ABC, CNN, and a few other sources. » Submitted By: Carol
Strange how Ron Paul was tied with Guiliani at 9% and now suddenly he's at 8% and isn't budging at all. I still think something is rigged.
» Submitted By: Carol
Are the people in NH that THICK or is it possible that the numbers are being manipulated? I just can't believe that people would vote for more of the same crap in Washington.
» Submitted By: Carol
Steve, didn't the 'polls' say that Obama was in a 10 point lead last night?
» Submitted By: Jesse
@Carol: That just goes to show what 'polls' are worth.
» Submitted By: Confused
Steve can I have an update on the numbers of Ron and Rudy?
» Submitted By: Carol
Someone explain why at politico.com the 'live' results at the top of the page show:
Democrats precincts reporting 63.45%
Republicans precincts reporting 61.46%
Why are the democrat votes being reported faster than the republican votes?
» Submitted By: Steve Jabs
Ron Paul is at 10,925 votes and Giuliani has 11,924. » Submitted By: Carol
Also, on this page, the results are the rounded up results of the results reported, which appears that the republican results are not changing at all.
» Submitted By: Steve Jabs
@Carol. Other than I've been telling you exact numbers all night when you want them? You're right, they are rounded. Not changed. Guess what. Everyone rounds up. » Submitted By: Carol
Thanks Steve, I just don't understand why on this page it says "67 percent of the precincts reported" for all the % above but on the politico.com page it has DIFFERENT percentages for the Democrats and Republicans precincts reported.
