Our Mission

20DC is the first step in the future of politics. The way we elect candidates, organize action, disperse information and even fundraise is changing as fast as Internet technology develops. 20DC has a vast array of features that allow for political discussion and organization - all in one place and all online. The content of the site is created and controlled by users. After all, it wouldn't much of a site about popular democracy otherwise, would it?

Young people today are the first generation to embrace the Web's potential as an incredible tool for communication. Social networks, blogs, community forums and more crop up daily. This same generation can find a hub for politics on 20DC, the Capital City for Digital Politics.

A lot of young people like politics and a lot liken the rigmarole of the process to a double dose of NyQuil. However, no matter which one describes you, you can't deny that there are some problems with the current system. It is, quite often, a scary world out there. Luckily for us, there is still one thing that can influence Washington D.C. - the collected voice of voters. Here, in 20DC, we can gather that voice. There is only one question here: what is important to you?

You have what it takes to make a difference. 20DC is a merely a new tool to be heard. This is the only place where we do not simply claim (or pretend to be) non-partisan, we give you both perspectives side-by-side. All views are welcome. The information on this site is at your command. Remember, there is more out there than the talking points of the two major parties. So, please, give it a try and become part of a real revolution.
